More Than Conquerors
I have spoken to two pastor friends in the past two days who made references to Romans 8 and the passage that says that we are "more than conquerors through Him who loved us." The point they were making is that when we live by faith, Christ gives us the victory. I agree completely!
Read Romans 8. It is not just speaking about having our sins forgiven. It is talking about the painful times of life. A child of God is not to live in defeat, but in victory. We are not to think of ourselves as victims, but conquerors. We are on the winning team. In the end we win. In the meantime we have the power of Christ and His peace to see us through. Hell's gates cannot prevail against the church.
Anyone living in defeat does not realize our position in Christ. We have access to the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, because we have the Holy Spirit in us. We have the Mind of Christ, if we will use it for His glory. We have Christ in us, "the hope of glory." Why should we live in defeat? I hope each of us will consider our relationship with Christ and the victory He gives us.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Song of Solomon 6-8 and Galatians 4.
