The Song of Moses and the Lamb

Have you ever wondered what kind of songs we will sing in heaven? We know we will be standing and bowing before the throne of God. We will be worshiping the Father and the Son. I believe a big part of that worship will be singing from our hearts to the Lord using words that magnify and praise Him. It will be glorious as we are gathered with all of the believers of all of the ages. We will sing together in perfect harmony. What a blessed time it will be.

The Bible tells us one of the songs we will sing in heaven. (Revelation 15:3,4) It will be the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints. Who shall fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your judgments have been manifested." Just consider the significance of the words of this heavenly song.

Notice all of the names and titles of God that are sung in this song, Lord God Almighty tells us who He is and His great power. O King of the saints shows us that He is the Ruler of all of us who are His "set apart" ones. O Lord simply places Him in the position of being in control of the universe, so He can and will do whatever He pleases. All of these names and titles show how glorious He is and give Him praise.

Then, pick out all of the attributes of God that are sing here. Great and marvelous are His works, because they are a reflection of His character. He is also Just and True, so all of ways are in line with these qualities. He alone is holy. There is no sin in Him, and He always does the right thing. Because of Who He is, all nations will come and worship before Him. They have seen His judgments, and they know they must bow before the Holy God. Now, that is a song packed with meaning for all of God's saints to sing to Him in heaven.
