By the Blood of the Lamb
Have you ever won a fight without having to do anything yourself? Well, if you are a Christian that is true in your life, even if you are not aware of it. Yes, Jesus won your battle against Satan, death, and the grave by allowing His blood to be shed for you on the cross. It was His blood that defeated Satan once and for all. Now, Satan has no power against anyone who is covered by the blood of the Lamb.
The Bible makes this truth very clear for all of us. (Revelation 12:11) In the tribulation time the devil will fight against all those who have put their trust in the Lord. They will overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, and they will not love their lives to the death. That same victory is here today for every one of us who know Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
Satan thought he was defeating Jesus when he led the people to have Jesus die by crucifixion. He thought he would be rid of Him once and for all. However, the very opposite was true. The cross enabled Jesus to shed His perfect blood for us and endure our punishment for our sins, so that we could be set free from the penalty of sin and become children of God. Now, we have the power of the Spirit in us to defeat Satan any time he comes against us.
Of course, we have to have our own personal testimony of how we turned from our sins, put our trust in Jesus alone to forgive our sins, and surrendered to Him as Lord of our lives forever. When we have that word of our testimony, Satan knows that we are secure in Christ, and he can't do anything to us that the Lord doesn't allow him to do. Any time he tempts us to sin, all we have to do is to trust Jesus for the victory and not love our lives to the death. That means, even if he kills us, we have the victory because we have our eternal home in heaven. All of that is available to those who will trust Jesus as Lord and Savior.
