Sent with Peace and the Spirit
God is so good to us, as His children. He gives us work to do, but He always provides us with what we need to accomplish His will in His way. We should thank Him for that, and we should always trust Him when He sends us out to be His hands and feet. Then, we will see Him work in great and powerful ways by His perfect power and wisdom.
When Jesus appeared to His disciples after the resurrection. He was very specific about this. (John 20:21-22) He said to them a second time that He was giving them peace. Then, He told them that He was sending them as the Father had sent Him. Then, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit." He is still sending and equipping all of His disciples today.
Many people are afraid to go for the Lord and minister to others and witness to others. God never wants us to be afraid of people. The Bible is clear that God doesn't give us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Therefore, if we are afraid, we have not received the peace of God into our hearts as Jesus wants to give it to us. Stop and ask Him, He will give His peace abundantly.
Also, now we have the Holy Spirit in us all the time. Jesus breathed on His disciples because it was before the Day of Pentecost when the Spirit came to indwell all believers. See the similarity. The breath of Jesus was the Spirit and the sound of wind on Pentecost was the Spirit. We can't go and do God's will in our power, only in the power of the Holy Spirit. Let God fill you with peace and the Holy Spirit today and go where He sends you.
