Satisfied
It just seems like some people are never satisfied. It is either too hot or too cold for them. They never have enough money to satisfy their desires. They are not satisfied with their job, or maybe its their boss they aren't satisfied with. They complain constantly because of this lack of satisfaction. That is not what God wants for any of us, but especially for His children. He wants to satisfy us the way only He can.
God promised His people in Jeremiah's day that there would come a time when He would satisfy them. (Jeremiah 31:14) He promised to satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, and He said that His people would be satisfied by His goodness. That shows us the heart of God for us. Now, we need to see how we can be satisfied by God every day.
God's desire for us is that we will have an abundant life. (John 10:10b) Once we know Christ, we have our need for eternal salvation satisfied once and for all. We have the Word of God as our spiritual food, so we can be satisfied by reading it and living by it. We are satisfied because we can pray to the Lord about everything and know that He hears us and answers according to His perfect will. We can know God gives us what we need as we trust Him and obey Him.
Also, we are satisfied by His goodness. God is so good to us all of the time, even when we have trials and suffering. God will never leave us or forsake us. His Spirit is the Comforter to strengthen us in just the right way and soothe us in our sorrows. God is good to show us how to be content with what we have now and the realization that we have heaven waiting for us. That is why I say that we, as believers, should be able to testify every day that we are satisfied by God.
