Winning the Right War
We could not win a war if we attacked the wrong enemy or the wrong country. In the same way we could not win a war if we used the wrong weapons. This is true for our country and for us, as individuals. Many people are losing the battles in their lives, because they are fighting the wrong war with the wrong weapons.
The Bible makes this point very clearly for all of us to consider. (II Corinthians 10:3,4) Though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. Most people are fighting battles with people using their own abilities, and those battles are not even the right war.
When we have problems with people, with relationship, and with money, the real enemy is Satan and his forces in this world. He is the one who is leading people to sin, breaking up relationships, and causing people to mismanage their money. The only way to defeat Satan and his forces is by using God's weapons to fight a spiritual warfare. The weapons are the Bible, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
When we use the Word of God, Satan has to flee from us, because He has no answer to God's Word. As we pray, God defeats Satan and his plans. As we ae filled with the Spirit, we have the power to defeat Satan every time. Therefore, as we fight the spiritual battles with the weapons of God, we see that fortresses or strongholds are torn down. People come to Christ, relationship are restored, and God is able to bless us with what we need.
