Powerful Answers to Prayers

I hope all of us obey what the Bible tells us about prayer. Prayer is so very important. God wants a close, personal relationship with each of us through knowing Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Then, He desires for us to walk and talk with Him every day so that relationship will grow closer every day. We need to pray well for that to happen.

Solomon made a very meaningful prayer at the time of the dedication of the Temple which he had built for the Lord. (II Chronicles 7:1) Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the house. Now, that was a powerful answer to His prayer!

I believe God loves to be able to answer our prayers in a very powerful way. However, we must be very sincere as we pray. Our prayers must express the desire of our heart. God can see any shallowness or hypocrisy. Also, we must pray in faith. If we don't believe God can answer our prayer, or if we do not believe He will answer our prayer, there is no need for us to talk with Him about it.

When we pray sincerely and with faith and our prayer is according to His will, that pleases God. Often, God answers in a dramatic way to show His pleasure. In fact, when we make it a practice to pray like that, His presence or His glory comes to be with us. He dwells with us, as we walk with Him. That is the best answer to our prayers.
