People who Belong to This World

 There are only two kinds of people in this world. Yes, I know there are all kinds of people groups. That is not what I am talking about. There are two broad groups of people. There are people who belong to this world, and there are people who belong to the kingdom of heaven. We must be sure we are in the right group.

John mentions this in the book of Revelation in talking about the Beast, or the Antichrist. (Revelation 13:8) He said that all of the people who belong to this world will worship the beast. They are the ones whose names are not written in the Book of Life that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered before the world was made. We must make sure our names are in that book.

The people of this world are unable to see the things of God clearly because they have rejected Jesus as their Lord and Savior, so they do not have the Holy Spirit to guide them in the truth. Therefore, they can be swayed to believe the wrong things and to worship the wrong things. They think they are right, but the opposite is true.

Our names are written in the Book of Life which belongs to the Lamb when we turn from our sins, put our trust in Him who died for our sins, and surrender to Him as Lord. Then, we no longer belong to this world, but we are citizens of heaven, just waiting to be taken to the place prepared for us by Jesus Himself. Please, make that decision now, and don't get caught if the Great Tribulation starts soon.
