No More Tears

 I think there used to be a commercial for a shampoo that used the slogan 'No more tears" or something like that. I am not sure about that product's effectiveness, but I am sure about the Lord. He has promised us, as Christians, that there will be a day that comes when there will be no more tears of pain and sadness forever. I long for that day to come, don't you?

John described what the Lord showed him in the book of Revelation. (Revelation 7:17) He said that the Lamb on the throne will be our Shepherd. He will lead us to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe every tear from our eyes. That is a glorious promise upon which we can depend.

We know what Psalm 23 says, so we know that the Lord is our Shepherd. However, in heaven we will have Jesus to be our Shepherd. Our loving Lord and Savior will take care of everything we will ever need. He will lead us to springs of life-giving water. We will have no fear of death or suffering.

He will wipe away all of our tears from the past, and there will be nothing to cause any tears for eternity. We will not be confronted with strife and conflict. We will not have diseases and suffering. It will be joy and peace with the Lord Jesus and other believers in a perfect place. I pray we all know Jesus, and we are ready for this day to come.
