Messengers Needed

The people of the world today need to hear the message of the Lord. Our world is sinking fast into the darkness of all kinds of sins and falsehoods. If they do not hear God's message, there is no hope for them to turn to Him and be set free. God is looking for messengers to deliver His truth.

Isaiah was a great messenger for the Lord. (Isaiah 6:8) When he went to the temple after king Uzziah died, he saw the Lord high and lifted up. He heard God say, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?" Then, Isaiah willingly replied, "Here I am, send me." He was an example for believers today.

As believers, we must not be simply spectators, going to church and hearing messages. We need to be messengers to take the messages we hear to other people. We do not need to be consumer Christians, just receiving God's blessings all the time. We need to be servants to share with others the things God has done for us. We need to be like Isaiah was back then.

We need to heed the call of God to go across the sea, if that is what He sends us to do. However, it is just as important to go across the street to speak God's message to our neighbors. This is for every Christian, not just pastors and missionaries. Once we have heard the Good News, it is ours to share with others as God directs us. Let's be messengers!
