Faithful in Everything

I am afraid that many people only want to do just enough to get by. Unfortunately, this is true for most Christians, too. They want to do the minimum amount to get to heaven. They do not want to be faithful to the Lord in everything. They want to do things their way most of the time.

Hezekiah was just the opposite of most believers. (II Kings 18:6) He remained faithful to the Lord in everything, and he carefully obeyed all the commands the Lord had given Moses. Because of his faithful obedience he was greatly blessed by God.

As believers, we have to decide how faithful we are going to be. Once we trust Christ as Lord of our life, we should become His servants to do His will completely. That is how it works since He is Lord. If we fail to honor Him as Lord fully, He can't bless our partial faithfulness.

However, if it is our aim to be faithful in everything, and the Lord sees that, He will bless us well. Yes, I know we will fail at times, but if we are not trying to be faithful in everything, we will fall very short of what the Lord wants. I pray we will be like Hezekiah and see what God does in our lives.
