Integrity

There seem to be fewer and fewer people of integrity today. Part of the reason for this is that not very many people believe in absolute truth. If everything is relative, then their morality can change from one day to the next. Also, people are not committed to doing the right thing consistently. They simply decide to do whatever they feel like doing at that time. These things do not lead people to have integrity. When we have integrity, we are consistently honest, and we work hard to do our best in every situation. We uphold the morals and ethics that God has established for all people, even if it is very difficult for us. This is why God values people of integrity. David experienced God's favor because he was a man of integrity. (Psalm 41:12) God supported David because of his integrity, and God set David in His presence forever. That reality should inspire all of us to have integrity.

Do we need God's help? Of course, we do. We need His support in all we do. God is watching to see how we are living day after day. Do we do what we say and say what we will do? Are we reliable, because we are committed to Him and His principles? Can others count on us not letting them down when we say we will help them in some say? If so, we are people of integrity, and God will give us His full support to carry out His will. In fact, when He sees integrity in our lives, we are the kind of people He wants to have in His presence forever. He wants to be available for us, so that He is just a prayer away at any moment. Why is this? God knows that it takes courage, commitment, sacrifice to be people of integrity, and He appreciates that quality of character so much that He wants to bless us in what we do.
