A Nazarite to God from the Womb

Samson was a very unique individual. He was used by God, even though he had many faults, and he failed to do God's will in God's way several times. However, we can learn a great lesson from Samson and his mother. He was a Nazarite to God from the womb of his mother. (Judges 13:5:24) God told his mother not to eat grapes or drink wine or strong drink while she was expecting, as a Nazarite would do, so Samson would not receive those elements from her. Also, no razor was to come upon his head all of his life. This was God's preparation for him to begin to deliver Israel from the hands of the Philistines. Then, when Samson was born, he grew up and the Lord blessed him to be able to fulfill God's purpose for his life. I believe the same is true for each of us, as believers, today, too.

God has a purpose for each of His children, and it is established by God before we are born. God knew that we would receive Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior before the foundation of the earth was laid. He has that foreknowledge without forcing us to receive Jesus. Therefore, based on His perfect knowledge, He sets out our life before we are born. Isn't that such a blessing to know? Each of us is so special to God that He gives us a unique purpose for our life. Then, He can even show our parents what to do before we are born if that is part of His plan. Once we are born, He blesses us, so we have the gifts and abilities to accomplish His purpose, just like He gave Samson great strength. Then, it is up to us to trust God every step of the way, so we do not fail or falter. However, even though we are not perfect and we fail sometimes, God is still able to use us for His Kingdom work, just like He used the imperfect Samson to begin to deliver Israel from the hands of the Philistines.
