Endless Enjoyment

What brings you endless enjoyment? I am sure that is a question that has many answers. I know some people love to visit Disney or other theme parks, so they go as often as possible. Others like the beach. They could spend their lives watching the waves and feeling the breeze. The mountains are a source of endless enjoyment for some of us. Then, I am sure there are people who would play video or computer games all of the time, if they could, because of the enjoyment they bring. None of these things hold a candle to what the psalmist said brought him endless enjoyment. (Psalm 111:4-6) However, I am afraid this would not make the list of many of us, at all.

The works of God are so great that they are worth a life time of study. The study of God's works brings us endless enjoyment, as we learn more and more about God and His ways. We marvel at the splendor and beauty of all He does. We see how His generosity never gives out, because His possessions are endless. Then, we see all of His miracles. There are so many of various kinds that they are never dull. In fact, each is a memorial to God and some part of His character is revealed in each one, so we can know Him better. What a God of Grace and Love! As we read the Bible and study the works of God, we really should have endless enjoyment, because for those of us who know Him, we are reading about our Father and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are wowed by the power and glory of the Holy Spirit in so many ways. There is never a dull moment as we study God's works, and none of our time is wasted. It will profit us for eternity to know God and His works well.
