The Eternal Word of God
It seems that many people are always on edge today. Some are worried about global warming. They say that we will destroy the earth so that life cannot exist in just a few years. Others are afraid of famines and wars. Of course, there is much talk of new diseases and how we will be able to cure them. People are looking for answers, but they are turning to the wrong places. Yes, the earth will pass away one day, but so will the whole universe. God is going to bring it to an end, so He can make a new one. We can find that answer and all the other answers we need in His words, recorded in the Bible for us. Jesus assured us that His words would never pass away. (Luke 19:33) We can count on the Word of God always coming true.
So many people doubt the Bible today. They think it is just a human book that is fallible. However, all of the evidence points to the fact that the Bible is God's Word and what it tells us is true in every area about which it speaks. We see that all of the prophecies in the Bible have come true just as they were written. The archaeologists have found evidence for all of the things that the Bible says. It is much more than a coincidence that about 40 different writers, who wrote over a 1,500 year period all wrote in harmony and agree with each other, when we understand the things they wrote correctly. The only way these things could have happened is that the Bible is the very words of God written down by men who were moved by the Spirit of God. If we have any questions today about anything in our lives, we need to begin by researching what the eternal Word of God has to say about it. It is God's treasure to benefit all of us.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Luke 22-24 and John 1.
