Every Word Fulfilled

When Joshua was getting very old, he called the people of Israel together, so he could charge them to do God's will when he was gone. He took time to remind them that not one word failed of all the good things the Lord had promised them. (Joshua 23:14) That was quite a statement, but it was true then, and the same could be said of God's Word now.

Have you every looked at how many promises there are in the Bible that apply to us as believers? I do not know an exact number, but there are hundreds of them in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. I am sure there are skeptics, but every one I have read has come true or will come true one day. God always keeps His promises. Often, we have to be faithful and walk with the Lord daily to see them come true in our own lives, but countless believers have seen the veracity of every word in the Bible and every promise it contains. Do you believe that? Faith is the key. We have to decide to trust God's Word and to take Him at His Word, so that we live by the promises and expect that God will fulfill them all in our lives. I pray that we will all come to realize this truth that Joshua presented so long ago. It will be a huge blessing in our lives.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Joshua 24 and Judges 1-2.
