Managing Our Time
Time is a valuable commodity. It is what life is made of. We only get so much of it, and we never know when we will run out. Therefore, it is essential for believers to use it wisely and not waste it. (Ephesians 5:15,16) It is easy for us to copy what other people do and basically live like those who do not know that Lord. That is the worst thing we can do, because one day we will give an account to God for how we lived out the time He gave us on this earth.
Paul admonished us to be careful of how we walk or live. We must not live like unwise people, but as wise. An unwise person is one who does not know the Lord and does not try to follow Him. We know this because all wisdom comes from God. This world has knowledge, but they do not see how God designed it all and how He wants us to direct our lives based on the knowledge. We must go to God and ask Him for His wisdom, so we can use it to order our lives. Then, we can make the most of our time by doing the right things well. We will not fall into the trap of doing what this evil world says to do. This way our lives will be pleasing to God when we come to the Judgment Day.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Ephesians 6 and Philippians 1-2.
