I Found No One

God is so gracious and merciful toward us when we sin. Yes, He always punishes us for our sins, but He waits a long time, and He gives us every opportunity to repent and trust Him, so He does not have to bring His most severe punishment upon us. Judah is a good example of His mercy. Before their destruction and exile, God looked for one man or one person who was willing to stand for what is right and to intercede for his people, but there was not found one person. (Ezekiel 22:30) That shows how long He had been patient with them. We need to learn this lesson today.

God responds to His people who stand for the truth and pray. Just like in the days of Abraham, He would not have destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah if He had found 10 righteous people there, but He did not. Now, I believe He is looking for believers in our day, who will build the wall of truth and stand in the gap before Him for their people. What will He find today? Some people think He is ready to pour out His judgment on us now. If that is what we believe, we should be praying more diligently, and we should be enlisting others to do the same. Are we doing that? If not, we are part of the problem and not part of the solution.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 26-28.
