Here am I, Send Me!

When Isaiah saw the Lord, high and lifted up, in the temple, he became totally aware of his sinful nature, and he fell before the Lord. God cleansed his lips, and Isaiah was ready to hear from the Lord. The Lord asked, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Immediately, Isaiah answered the call and said, "Here am I, send me." (Isaiah 6:8) Have you ever had such an experience in your life?

God speaks to everyone in one way or another. (Romans 1:18-23) Then, we choose whether to accept the revelation He gives us by trusting Him in faith or not. Part of trusting Him is seeing that we are sinful, and He is holy. When we see that, we humble ourselves before Him, and we know He is the Only One who can cleanse our sins. Since Jesus died for our sins, and rose rom the dead to show His victory over sin and Satan, we put our trust in Him as Lord to be cleansed. Then, we hear God clearly because His Spirit comes to live in us. We are His witnesses, and He calls every believer in the way He called Isaiah to go for "Us," God, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. What did you say or what will you say to that call when you hear it? What a blessing it is to bear the Good News of the Gospel to all people. Some will become hardened and reject God, but others will turn to Him and know Him, like we do. God desires for all people to know Him, and He desires for all believers to go for Him.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 7-10.
