Salvation by Grace through Faith
Many people have a false conception about how we are saved from our sins. They think we are saved by works. However, the Bible is very clear that works can never save us. We can never be good enough to get to heaven. Salvation has always been only by grace through faith. Abraham is the first clear example in the Bible.(Genesis 15:6) Let's see what happened to him and what happens to every person who gets saved from their sins.
Abraham believed in the Lord. He trusted the Lord by putting his faith in Him. That is what it means to believe in God. Now we must believe in Jesus Christ, because He is the full manifestation of God to us. When we trust in Him, we are trusting God, since He is God and man. Then, once we do that God gives us a gift. He makes us righteous before Him by giving us His righteousness. Our sins are forgiven, and we are able to enter heaven, because when He sees us, He sees His righteousness, not our sins. That is the greatest gift anyone can ever receive.
