The Coming Battle
It seems that people are speculating on what will happen soon based on certain books and calculations of days and seasons. I am not sure about all of that, but I am certain that a battle is coming, and it could be soon. God will use it to show His glory to all the nations of the world, and to show Israel that He is the Lord their God. (Ezekiel 39:21,22) This battle will accomplish the purposes of God in a way that few earthly events have.
Countries from north of Israel are going to band together to attack Israel, including Iran and Russia. There will also be armies from northern Africa join with them. All together this will be a huge army to march against the small nation of Israel. It would seem that they would be totally destroyed, but the opposite will happen. God will intervene to kill the entire army in a valley in Israel, and He will send fire on the cities of these nations. It will take 7 months to bury the dead and cleanse the land. The whole world will see this, so that all nations will behold His glory through this judgment of these countries. Israel will see it and know that it could only have been the hand of God, so they will turn back to the Lord and will eventually trust Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. It will prepare the way for the Antichrist's rise to power and the time of the tribulations. You can read the details in all of Ezekiel 38 and 39.
Those of us who know the Lord do not need to fear this battle. We should rejoice when this happens, because we will see that the time for us to be in heaven with the Lord is quickly approaching. Listen to the news and ask yourself, if these things are not beginning to happen. I would never give a time frame, but it appears that all of the players are set for the coming battle, in which God will show His glory to the nations and touch the hearts of the Jewish people.
