Can These Bones Live?

Ezekiel was taken by the Spirit to see a vision of a valley full of very dry bones which represented the nation of Israel. Then, God asked him a question, "Can these bones live?"(Ezekiel 37:3) God was going to work a miracle and restore His people back to the Land after so many had died, been taken into exile, and the land devastated. This question was a test of Ezekiel's faith, and I believe, he passed the test. He answered, "O Lord God, You know." The prophet knew that the Lord was the only one who could give life, so only He knew if the bones could live or not. That is a profound insight for us to consider.

Can a person dead in their sins live? Only the Lord can bring life to that person, but those of us who know the Lord must have faith that God can bring life, so that we pray and reach out in faith for God to work a miracle. Can a church that is dry live? Only God can bring a dry church back to vibrant life, but we have to believe that God can do it, if we pray and do what He says.

God brought Israel back to the Land and made them a great army. It was a divine act to show the world that He is Lord. Now, we need to ask Him to show our world that He is Lord by seeing many people come to new life and many churches restored to their vibrant first love of the Lord Jesus. Do you believe these bones can live?
