The Perfect Way

I believe God has a perfect will for each of us. He has a way for us to go that is the best of all possible ways, and if we follow Him fully, we can walk in that way. I think David believed that, too.(Psalm 18:32,32) David shows us in his Psalms that he knew just where his strength came from and that God gave him the ability to reach places in life that would be impossible without Him. God was making his way perfect.

I love the analogy he gives about making our feet like the feet of deer. Yesterday, Jacob and I saw a deer as we took Midnight on our evening walk. The deer stood and watched us. He was not really afraid. Then, he skipped one way, but he came back. We got closer and closer before he disappeared into the trees. He was so nimble. He could jump so high. He could get away from us so many ways that he was not alarmed at all. When God is with us, we can have the same composure and confidence in His power. We can know that we are secure in Him, and we can reach any heights in His perfect way for us.

I pray today that each of us will live in the strength of the Lord, having the spiritual feet of deer, so that we can travel God's perfect way by trusting Him completely.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Psalm 19-22.
