Get Rich Quick
Many people are focused on getting rich. They play the lottery in hope of winning a huge jackpot. They work many hours at their jobs and neglect other parts of their lives just to get more money. People even do illegal things to get rich. However, even if they hit the jackpot or get a pile of money, they never become truly rich. Jesus is the only person who can make you rich quickly and eternally.(II Corinthians 8:9)
Christmas is about Jesus becoming poor for us. He left all of the riches of heaven. He was born into this world in a manger. He never had a place of His own to live. When He died, they laid Him in a borrowed tomb. His whole life was lived in material poverty. The God of the Universe became a poor man, so that He could die for the sins of the world. Then, whoever trusts Him as Lord of their lives, becomes a joint heir with Him of all of the riches of heaven and receives eternal abundant life from that moment through their personal relationship with the Lord of all. What a deal! That is getting rich quick and staying rich forever.
Tomorrow, I intend to read II Corinthians 12-13 and Galatians 1.
