Compelled by Christ's Love

When we stop to consider the love of Christ for us, it humbles us, and we have the motivation to love Him back and to live for Him, not for ourselves.(II Corinthians 5:14,15) We are compelled by the love of Christ. He left heaven, came to earth as the God/Man to live a sinless life and to die for us on a cruel cross. Then, He rose again the third day to prove that what He said was true, and He is Lord of all. That kind of love deserves our full devotion every day.

Christmas is about the love of God and the coming of Jesus. It is the love of Christ in action. He freely came to die for us, because He loves us. The question of Christmas is this, "Will be love Him back?" Will we be selfish, or will we give ourselves to live for Him. That is the essential question for everyone to answer. Are you compelled by the love of Christ? There is no other way to be right with God. Let's spread the good news of Christ's love this Christmas and all through the year.

Tomorrow, I intend to read II Corinthians 6-8.
