God's Judgment on the Nations

All of Jeremiah 47-49 is made up of prophecies against the nations that surrounded Israel and Judah. They were not exempt from God's judgment just because they were not God's chosen people like the Jews. God still holds every nation and people responsible to respond to His revelation of Himself and trust Him. When a nation fails to do this, God has to bring His righteous punishment for their sin.(Jeremiah 48:42)

I want to encourage you to read Romans 1:18-32 and think about the judgment of God on everyone in the world. Why does God judge all people and nations? He has revealed Himself to each person and to each nation, so that they are without excuse, if they do not trust Him. Sometimes, we hear the question, "What about the person in Africa who never heard about God?" Well, there is no such person. God has revealed Himself to everyone, so they know when they sin, and they know they need to trust God. It is our responsibility to take them the gospel, so they can know the solution for their sin provided by the Lord Jesus on the Cross and have eternal life in Him.

It is a serious situation for America and every nation and people group in this world. We need to pray and to make disciples of all nations just like Jesus commanded before it is too late.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Jeremiah 50-52.
