No Work

How many times in the last few years have we heard someone say, "There is no work, so I can't find a job?" I have heard this from young and old, experienced and inexperienced, blue collar and white collar people. What is going on? Is it just a recession? I am not sure.(Isaiah 19:14,15)

Isaiah 18-20 contains God's message for Ethiopia and Egypt. It is very interesting, because part of it is God's punishment, and part of it speaks about some future blessings. However, this morning I want us to realize how God punished Egypt and how He could be punishing the USA and other countries now. God brought down Egypt from being the richest and most powerful country on earth, until it was a place where there was no work to be found. He did this because they rejected Him and worshiped their idols, even after seeing the power of God in the 10 plagues of the Exodus. His method was to to "mingle" a perverse spirit in Egypt. In other words a new point of view came about and that way of doing things led the country down the road to no work.

This seems to be happening in America and in other countries today. I will not detail the different philosophies, but just take a look at how things are going and judge for yourself. This could be God's way of bringing the USA down, because of our worship of idols, too.
