Prosperity and Success
There are multitudes of people seeking prosperity and success. Most of them do not achieve their goals. The ones who do reach their goals often do not experience the thrill they thought they would get. The truth is that money and recognition may make life easier in some ways, but they do not bring real satisfaction.
God gave Joshua the sure fire formula for prosperity and success.(Joshua 1:8) God told Him to keep His law in his mouth and to observe it. Then, he would prosper and have success. I believe that means he would meditate on the law so much that he would speak of it often and obey it always. As a result God would bless him. This might not be financial prosperity and it might not be earthly success. It would surely be much better than that. When God prospers a person and gives him success, it comes with peace and satisfaction in knowing something eternal has been accomplished, and God is smiling at us. That is what we all should be striving to achieve by being obedient disciples of the Lord and of His Word.
