Defiling The Earth
We hear a lot about global warming and polluting the earth these days. I am not sure how much of it is true and how much is manufactured to lead people in a particular agenda. However, I am sure that we can defile the earth by how we live. Human beings defile the earth when we transgress God's laws, change the ordinance, and break the everlasting covenant.(Isaiah 24:5)
Think about the damage we do. God has absolute laws. We go against what He has ordained as right and wrong. This destroys lives, families, and societies. Our sins defile our countries. We set up our own ordinances, but we ignore God's ordinance. He has told us how to live in harmony with His laws, but we go our way. We reject the covenant He wants to make with us. All of this brings sin into action, and sin defiles. We are defiling the earth by filling it with sin.
I don't believe human beings can bring the earth to an end by putting emissions into the air or by putting garbage in the water. We should not do those things, but they will not bring us down. However, one day Jesus will return to put an end to the defilement of the earth by sin, and He will set up His kingdom to show us how to live under God's laws. We need to trust Him as Lord and be ready for that Day to come at any minute.
Today, I read Isaiah 22-24.
