A New Attitude
You can tell a lot about a person by his or her attitude. I am afraid that it is cool these days to have a bad attitude or a smart aleck attitude. The problem with that is that our attitude comes from the heart, and it leads to actions. If we have a negative attitude, it will most often lead to wrong actions. However, we can change our attitudes at any time, because we have full control over them. Then, once we have fixed the attitudes, we are in for a nice change in our lives.
The main attitude that is a barometer of a good heart is thankfulness. The Lord commands us to be thankful in everything. In other words, we can find something for which to be thankful in any situation. Then, we can watch for the Lord and see even more things to be thankful for.
I was so glad to get a good report today about a person for whom I have been praying. The report was that he has a new attitude toward his wife and the people around him. He is talking about praying, and he is watching some Christian shows on the TV. Praise the Lord! I believe these are signs that his heart is changing. I pray that his whole life will change for the better, and God will be able to use him and bless him in a wonderful way.
