People are Hungry for Relationships

Ever since I joined Facebook, I have been amazed at how many different people are there and how many different groups or organizations have a site. Either people have way too much time on their hands or they are hungry for relationships. I think it is the later.

God created us in His image, and a big part of that is our ability to relate to other people. He gave us love and compassion and the desire to receive love and compassion. The huge problem today is that sin has caused people to have so many broken relationships in all of the arenas of life, but they still long for good, healthy relationships. We all need to see that the hindrance to those relationships is our sin and the sin of others.

Just think of all of your relationships. Which ones are healthy? Which ones are broken? Why was there a break? I am sure it had something to do with pride, selfishness, or lack of compassion of some form. Therefore, to have the best relationships we must first have a healthy relationship with God. God is love. When we know Him, He comes to live in us, so we have His love, joy, and patience for our relationships. That is even more true when we are filled with His Spirit. I hope I can be used by God to show many people the joy of knowing Jesus and the joy of healthy relationships God's way.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Leviticus 11-12 and Matthew 26:1-25.
