We have them Outnumbered
I have never been in the armed forces or gone to war. I have never had someone shooting at me, except one time when we were shooting paint balls. That was scary enough for me. All I can say is that if I had to go to war, I would want to have a much larger army than the enemy had. I would want to overwhelm them, so that I was not in any real danger of being hurt or killed. That is what God does for us against the forces of evil in this world.
Elisha and his servant were in Dothan when the King of Aram sent his army to get them. They surrounded the house, and the servant went out to see the hills filled with enemy soldiers. He was terrified and told Elisha. (II Kings 6:16) Elisha calmly told him not to be afraid because there were more on their side than on the enemy's side. Then, Elisha prayed and the Lord opened the servants eyes to see all multitude of the chariots of God's army around them. I pray the Lord will open our eyes to see this today.
If we know Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we should never be afraid of being hurt by Satan and his forces or by anything else. Yes, we have troubles, but nothing ever happens to us, as Christians, that God does not allow to happen, or He doesn't do it Himself. Then, He will always be with us to deliver us, if we will trust Him through it all. (I Corinthians 10:13) Remember, Satan is no match for God. He is in no way as powerful or wise as God. If God is fighting for us, we will always win.
Also, remember what the Bible tells us about Satan and his forces in the book of Revelation. When Satan rebelled against God before the creation of the world, one third of the angels followed Him. (Revelation 12:4) That means two thirds of the angels remained faithful to God. That sounds like the ones who are on our side are twice as many as the ones on their side to me. God's angels are all around us to protect us and deliver us, besides the All-powerful Holy Spirit being in us. That is why we should never be afraid. We have them vastly outnumbered.
