Fully Blessed
I have a license plate on the front of my truck that simply says "Blessed." That is my proclamation to everyone who sees it that my life is very good because God is taking care of me and my needs. In fact, just like the song says "All my life You have been faithful.". I could go on and on about all of His blessings. However, I want everyone to know that the best blessings are yet to come. They are out of this world, literally.
The apostle John heard a voice from heaven while he was on the island of Patmos. (Revelation 14:13) The voice was telling him to write, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." The Spirit confirmed this was true, "That they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them." Just think of how blessed we, as Christians, will be when we get to go to heaven to be with the Lord! That is the greatest blessing anyone can ever receive.
I believe that Christians need to make sure that this is our mindset all of the time. Instead of saying it is a good day because we woke up here for one more day, we should let everyone know that the best day we could ever have would be for Jesus to take us home today. Nothing that could happen to us here today can compare with the slightest of blessings in heaven. There will be no more stress, only rest from our labors which we did here on earth.
Also, our works will follow us. I believe that means that God will give us credit for everything we did which was His will. They will not be forgotten. Only the temporary things will be gone. Like Jesus said that we are to lay up treasures in heaven where they will never pass away. Therefore, let's do God's will today and every day, knowing that one day we will go to be with Jesus and our loved ones in a perfect place. That is really being blessed to the maximum.
