Jesus is Coming like a Thief
We are in the midst of celebrating the incarnation of Jesus, which we call Christmas. That was His first coming to earth as the God/Man. However, Jesus is coming a second time. The next time He will come like a thief.(Revelation 16:15) In other words, His second coming will catch many people unprepared. Please, don't allow that to happen to you.
We should be watching for Jesus to come again. We should be expecting Him to arrive like a guest coming to our house. How do you prepare for a guest? You make sure everything is ready and clean. We should do the same for Jesus. We must keep our garments clean. Our garments are symbolic of our lives. In order to be ready for Jesus, we must confess our sins daily, and we must be clean to stand in His presence.
However, there are some who do not even have garments. They are naked, because they do not know Christ as their Lord and Savior yet. If they are caught by the Second Coming their shame will be revealed. They will see that they are lacking Life, that only comes from knowing Jesus.
Please, don't be caught unprepared for the coming of Christ. It could happen any minute. Eternity stands before us all, and we must be ready.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Revelation 17-19.
