The Anguish of Our Soul
There are some things that are just very hard for us to handle in our life. We have troubles that seem to pile up on us. We can be hurt by family members or friends whom we love and care about very much. We can experience financial setbacks or collapse which weighs greatly on us. We can lose our loved ones and go through the grief process. All of these things and more can cause us to have anguish of soul. We need to know the cure for this condition.
David was inspired to write to us about anguish of soul. He had experienced it because of being king and having family challenges, but he found out how to deal with anguish of soul in the right way. (Psalm 31:7) David said that he would be glad and rejoice in God's unfailing love, because He had seen his troubles, and God cared about the anguish of his soul. See how positive David was able to be? We all need to have that same understanding and to be able to rejoice like David was able to do.
Just think about the fact that God has unfailing love. Let that sink in for a minute. God's love never fails, even when we are having troubles. He lets us go through the troubles so we will trust Him more, and when we do, He shows us that He has seen our troubles and He understands. Then, He is there to show us His solution and guide us out of them. God cares. Please, don't ever let Satan convince you that He doesn't care.
God cares about the anguish of our soul. He knows just how we are made. He knows we are body, soul, and spirit. He knows that our soul is made up of our mind, will, and emotions. He knows how to calm our mind, correct our will, and soothe our emotions. We just have to go to Him and listen for His loving instructions. It could take a little time, but as we trust Him, we will be rejoicing like David very soon. Just cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you!
