Face to Face

These days we communicate with each other in many different ways. It seems that many people have resorted to sending text messages as their preferred way of communicating with others. Of course, almost everyone has a cell phone, so we can send texts or make calls at any time. However, the best way to communicate is still a face to face talk. We need to keep that in mind, even when it comes to God.

Moses was a special leader for the people of Israel. (Deuteronomy 34:10) When it came time for him to die, God buried him. After that for a long time there was not another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face. I pray we have that kind of relationship with the Lord today.

Believers now have the Holy Spirit living in us. God is with us everywhere we go. We can talk directly to the Lord any time. He wants this to be an ongoing communication about everything that happens to us. He wants us to have a close relationship with Him, even if we can't see His face.

I pray that each of us has a face to face relationship with God in the sense that we go straight to Him and talk with Him as we would talk with someone in person because He is there with us. In the mornings I pray we will seek the Lord and ask for His direction for the day. Believe me, He wants to talk with you and direct you each step of the way. When others know us, I pray that they will see we have a special relationship with the Lord like Moses had.
