A Prayer for You

We ought to be diligent to pray and to pray as the Lord wants us to pray. There are many prayers recorded in the Bible. God inspired them to be written for us, so we know they are good for us to make personal and to pray for ourselves and others. I would encourage us, as believers, to do that.

Paul prayed a meaningful prayer for the believers in Thessalonica. (II Thessalonians 2:16-17) May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say. This is great for us to pray today, too.

Do you need comfort on a regular basis? I believe all of us, as believers, need comfort in one way or another every day. God is there for us. He has already given us comfort and a wonderful hope when we were saved. He wants us to have more comfort for each thing we do or say. Let's make sure to ask Him for it daily.

Also, we need more strength every day. We can't live the Christian life in our own strength. It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit, who is in us, that we can live like Jesus. God is ready to give us that strength, too, so we never need to say we can't do God's will. With God all things are possible. Let's pray and do what He says in His power.
