A Rallying Point

 In the heat of battle it is easy to get separated from our fellow soldiers. When we feel alone, we are tempted to retreat or even surrender. God never wants us to do that, as Christians. We need to stick together and continue our fight against the enemies of God in unity. Then, God will help us.

David saw His country in distress, as unrighteous people prevailed and God punished the whole country. (Psalm 60:3) David encouraged the people of God by saying that God had raised a banner for those who fear Him - a rallying point in the face of attack. All believers need to rally to the Lord's banner today.

Satan knows that there is power in unity. He is aware that God wants Christians to support one another. That is why he does everything he can do to get believers to be at odds with each other. He aims to destroy our unity. We must not let ourselves be at odds with other Christians over non-essential beliefs.

We need to band together with others who fear the Lord. We need to worship Him in His awesome power and holiness together. We need to respect the Lord and His power, so that we do His will together. Once we rally to the Lord and fight, we will prevail. No power on earth or in hell can stop us from doing God's will.
