I'm with You Completely

Loyalty is a very good character quality. Of course, we must be sure that we are loyal to people who are righteous, godly people who know and do God's will. Then, we can be sure that our loyalty will aid in accomplishing what is good and right for us and for others. Of course, our ultimate loyalty is to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jonathan, Saul's son, was a godly leader, and he won a great victory against the Philistines. (I Samuel 14:6) His armor bearer aided him in his fight. His armor bearer told Jonathan, "Do what you think is best. I'm with you completely, whatever you decide." May we all have friends who side with us in our battles in this way.

One of the hardest things in life is when a friend betrays us in some way. It always hurts more because we thought we had someone upon whom we could depend to fight with us. Then, when they are disloyal, it catches us by surprise. That makes us wonder who can we trust to be loyal to us.

However, when we have that friend who sticks closer than a brother, we are confident that whatever happens, they will be there for us and with us. Life is not meant to be lived alone. We need loyal family and friends to support us, and we need to be a loyal friend and family member, too. I pray we will all tell the Lord Jesus that whatever He thinks is best, we are with Him completely.
