The Only God Ever

 The Jewish people will always be God's chosen people. That doesn't mean all of them are saved automatically.  It means God chose to make a covenant with them through Abraham and his descendants and to work through them to bring Jesus and our salvation. One day He will work through them before Jesus comes and sets up His throne in Jerusalem for 1,000 years. Isaiah gave a declaration from the Lord for His people. (Isaiah 43:10) God wanted them to trust Him only and stop being tempted by other gods. He assured them there was no god before Him, and there will be no god after Him. He is the only God. We should be assured by this, too.

We live in a world with many false gods. Science is a god to many people, but it is no god at all compared to the Only God. Science makes mistakes all the time. There are many things science doesn't know.  God is all-powerful and all-knowing. There are thousands of made up gods. They were invented to make people feel good and think they can work for salvation. They are not gods, at all. We must concentrate on the Only God,  and trust Jesus alone for our salvation. If we trust anyone or anything else, we will miss eternity in Heaven with Him. I pray none of us will do that.
