Faithful Boldness

Many Christians lack boldness when it comes to speaking up for the Lord. We would rather be silent and play it safe. We do not want to risk saying or doing anything others might find objectionable. Therefore,  many of God's messages do not get passed on to those who really need them. Jeremiah was not that way at all. (Jeremiah 26:12,13) When the people of Jerusalem were angry with him for prophesying doom for them and the city and wanted to kill him, he stood firm and delivered his message again. They could repent and be spared by God, or God would surely carry out His words Jeremiah had given to them. How many of us would have been so bold?

Boldness comes from having solid faith in the Lord and His plan for us. When we have faithful boldness, we know God is in control. If we die while being faithful, He will take us to heaven and reward our faith. If He chooses to protect us, no one can harm us. When we are assured of God's power and sovereignty,  we can be bold for Him in any situation. We have to trust the Lord and love others enough to deliver God's message to them. I pray for all of us, as believers, to have faithful boldness and be a good witness to everyone around us.
