God's Perfect Faithfulness

We should constantly stand amazed at the perfect faithfulness of the Lord and shower Him with praise for it. We live in a world where we can't count on very many things to happen just as they are supposed to happen. It can get very frustrating. However, that never happens when it comes to God and His Word. Solomon saw this and praised God for it as he offered the dedication prayer and benediction over the Temple he built for God. (I Kings 8:56) God had granted rest to His people in the land of Canaan just as He promised hundreds of years before. Also, Solomon praised God because not one word had failed of all which He promised through Moses, His servant. That was hundreds of years before, too. What a mighty God we serve!

Before we can truly praise God for His perfect faithfulness we have to believe it. I wonder if most Christians believe that God always does whatever He says, whatever He promises perfectly as He said it? I don't really think they do. First of all, people do not know the Bible, so they do not know when God brings to pass what He has said. Secondly, they are not so concerned with God's words and His will. They want their own will to be done. Then, when God doesn't do just what they wanted, they are upset with God, instead of praising Him. I believe it would revolutionize our lives, if we would just spend the time it takes to learn His Word. Then, If we would just put our agenda aside and adopt God's agenda from the Bible. If we would be faithful to do these two things, we would be able to see that not one word of all that He has said has failed, and we would rejoice in the great faithfulness of our God.
