Informing the Future Generation

I wonder how good a job we are doing of telling the future generation what God has done in the past. I am afraid if we fail to teach them, they will totally depart from trusting the Lord, because of the evil influences of the world around them. The psalmist, Asaph, realized this crucial need. (Psalm 78:4) I pray we will hear what he said before it is too late for the generation coming after us.

Let's decide now not to hide anything from our children and grandchildren. We must take time to tell them the Biblical stories of God's blessings and God's wrath. Also, we must share our own testimony about how we have seen God work in our lives, both to bless us and to punish us. I am sure there have been many praiseworthy acts of God in our lives, if we have been following Him for very long. We should have many stories of the wondrous works He has done in our lives. The trouble is that many times we do not share with them. Let's not let them waste all of their time on their phones, and let's not do the same thing ourselves. Let's sit with them and share from our heart for their well-being and for the future well-being of our country and our world.
