The Impact of One Person

God was so angry with the people of Judah. He kept telling Ezekiel to warn them and to prophesy against them, so they might turn from their sins. However, they would not listen. Then, God sought for one person in the whole nation who would build up the wall and stand in the breach or the gap spiritually for the land, so He should not destroy it, but He did not find a single person. (Ezekiel 22:30) I wonder if God is doing much the same thing today in America.

We have had all types of warnings about how our sins are making God angry. Are we seeking His favor and praying more? It is almost 9/111. Do we remember how God allowed us to be attacked that day, withdrawing His hedge of protection? Has it made a difference in our spiritual warfare for our nation? We need to listen to the Lord, and as His people, we Christians should be fighting with the spiritual weapons of the Word of God and prayer to stand in the gap for our nation. Yes, there may be only a few of us being faithful in the battle, but God would have saved Israel if He had found just one. Let's make sure there is always more than one interceding for the USA each day. If we will do that, there is always hope in the Lord.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Ezekiel 23-25.
