Behold, I am with You

None of us should go though life alone. Jesus wants to be with us wherever we go and to do all He has promised us in His Word. Jacob found that out after his vision of the ladder reaching to heaven. (Genesis 28:15) We all need to have this same assurance that the Lord gave to Jacob.

So many people are trying to live life on their own. Yes, they may say that they believe in Jesus and their sins have been forever, but they are not depending on Jesus every day. Jesus wants us all to know that He is with us. If we belong to Him, He will keep us wherever we go. That does not mean we won't have problems or be persecuted. It means that He will never let go of us. It also means He will not leave us until He has done all that He has promised us. Paul said much the same thing to the believers at Philippi. (Philippians 1:6) Jesus never ceases to be with us and to mold us into what He wants us to be. What a blessing that is! The Lord of the universe is walking with every believer. Let's decide to depend on Him and cooperate with Him in what He is doing in us and with us.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Genesis 30-32.
