Our Awesome God
There are certain things that God reveals about Himself to show us who He is. When we consider those things, we simply have to bow before Him in awe. (Isaiah 43:13) There is no one like Him.
God told us, "Before the day was, I am He." God is eternal. He was here before there was day and night, because He created light by speaking it into existence out of nothing. Even if we can't fully conceive of how God can be eternal, we know it must be true. God is the most powerful Person in the universe, so no one could have created Him, or that person would be God.
"There is no one who can deliver out of My hand." God is all-powerful. There is no one strong enough to defeat Him and to deliver anyone out of His hand. That is evident by the power of God to create the universe. He has to be superior in power to everything He created.
"I work, and who will reverse it?" God is all-wise. Once He does something, no one is smart enough to reverse what He has done. His work is perfect, and we must admit that we can't overturn anything God has done.
Tomorrow, I intend to read Isaiah 44-46.
