The Satisfaction of Seeing God's Will Completed
Joshua was a blessed man. He had the satisfaction of seeing God's will accomplished in God's way. Under his leadership the Israelites took the whole land of Canaan to the point they could divide it out to the tribes, and they could cease from war. (Joshua 11:23) There is nothing more satisfying than to know that we have been used by God to do His will and do it well.
Many people look for satisfaction from their work or their recreation. Others look to money or possessions or experiences. None of these things can bring us satisfaction like seeing what God has directed us to do accomplished. I pray that we will realize that truth and make it a priority.
Ask God to show you His will for your life right now. It will be tied to serving Him through His church in some way. Then, do what He says just as He directs you. Be faithful to see it through to the end. Then, you will know this great satisfaction that only comes from seeing the smile of God,
Tomorrow, I intend to read Joshua 12-14.
