Face to Face with God

Moses was a very special person. He was the most humble man of God's people even though he was the leaders of over 2 million people. It was his responsibility to hear from the Lord and convey God's message to the people. Because of His close relationship with the Lord and his pure heart, God spoke to him in a way that He did not speak to other prophets. (Numbers 12:6-8) He spoke with Moses face to face. That means that Moses saw His form, because he was in the very presence of God. He heard His voice, as if another person was speaking to him. We all need to strive to have that close of a relationship with God, so we can enter His presence and hear from Him clearly.

It all amounts to the condition of our heart. If God sees our humility and total dedication to serve Him, He will be inclined to allow us to enter His presence. If our hearts are so tuned to Him, because we know there is not other to Whom we must listen, then He will allow us to get before Him closely. I pray that we will strive to be like Moses, so we can have a face to face type of relationship with God, even if we never see His form. We need to long to hear His voice and know we have been with the Lord.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Numbers 13-15.
