What Job Has God Given You?

Bezalel was the craftsman who built all of the furnishings and implements for the tabernacle. Aholiab was with him as a partner and a helper. (Exodus 38:22,23) What is your job in the Kingdom of God? Every believer has been given a job to do, but many do not even know what it is, so how can they do God's will?

Bezalel was chosen to be the craftsman for the work of the Sanctuary, because he had all of the gifts and knowledge to do the whole job. God knew that, because God gave him those gifts and abilities. Therefore, He chose him to be the leader and to accomplish the work. God knew the gifts and abilities of Aholiab, as well, so He appointed him to be the partner or helper. He was good at following the directions of his boss.

The work of the kingdom of God requires leaders and helpers to be done correctly. There are no small, unimportant jobs. However, all of us are to work together to expand the kingdom through the church, which is the Body of Christ in this world to do His work. It is not enough to be a Christian husband or father. I am sure that these men were married with children. It is not enough to be a wife and mother and to think your job is to only raise your children. God wants all of us involved with other believers in reaching our world in some way. So, what is your job? If you don't know or you aren't doing it, I hope you will realize that is a serious affront to God. It also stunts your spiritual growth, because it is only when we use our gifts to do our jobs that we grow fully in the Lord.

Tomorrow, I intend to read Exodus 40 and Leviticus 1-2.
