Peace or Tribulation
Jesus was very clear. While we are in this world, we will have tribulation. It is a part of living in a fallen world. However, Jesus was very clear that in Him we can have peace. (John 16:33) Therefore, it is possible to have His peace in the midst of tribulation. What a blessing!
Real peace only comes from Jesus. We can have His peace when we are in Christ, when we are saved and become a child of God. We will still live in this world, so we will have tribulation around us and happening to us. However, we can have His peace in the middle of life's storms because He has overcome the world. That means, if we follow Him closely, we can have peace knowing that He will guide us and empower us. We are in His arms, so even if we die a martyr's death for our faith in Jesus, He will carry us safely to His side. We have no need to fear anyone or anything, because He is with us, and this world is no match for our Lord.
Tomorrow, I intend to read John 17-20.
